Line of Events
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a long-running rivalry that comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner has previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same location was used to depict Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark. Absolutely incredible: the wit, the innuendo, the humour, the characters, the 80s accuracy, the cast, the locations; it’s perfection in a TV show. This type of TV has been lacking for at least the last decade; it has it all: sentimentality and joy, tears of laughter and sadness, nostalgia on steroids and a cast that plays their parts brilliantly. I don’t have a single bad word to say about this programme. Hats off to the writers, actors, crew and everyone else involved. I’m watching it for the second time because there are too many clever lines worth memorizing to be picked up on the first time. Bravo!
