I watched it with my parents who know nothing about the league universe. I’ve been playing the league since 2010 so my opinion may be a bit biased. But my parents were pleasantly surprised. They said that at times it was a little clear that this series was aimed more at a young adult audience. A few uses of pop songs and the villain being a bit over the mustache every day. But overall they enjoyed the first 3 episodes and wouldn’t mind watching the rest on their own time. As for me. I liked it! It was everything I hoped for and then some. Riot’s art department has always been on their A-game. And with Fortiche’s track record, we knew this had very little chance of going wrong. Knowing Riot’s art department, it has an excellent story, well-written characters, and a news-rich world to draw from. All in all, this show comes together very nicely.
