Andy Goodrich’s life is turned upside down when his wife enters rehab, leaving him alone with his young children. Goodrich leans on Grace, his daughter from his first marriage, as he finally becomes the father he never had. Writer-director Hallie Meyers-Shyer wrote the lead role specifically for Michael Keaton. “I wrote it with him 100 percent,” she said, “to the point where if I said no, I would have buried him and myself in the yard.” The “Cinnamon Toast Crunch” box continues to rotate 180 degrees during the breakfast scene. Writer-director Hallie Meyers-Shyer has given us a funny and emotional film that will put a smile on your face when the credits roll. It’s a perfect film about real life. Michael Keaton is magnificent as Andy Goodrich. Mila Kunis is amazing as Grace. Keaton and Kunis share an adorable camaraderie in every scene they share. Vivien Lyra Blair and Jacob Kopera are fantastic as Billie and Mose. The supporting cast is phenomenal. Goodrich is a must-see for all comedy and drama lovers and fans of Michael Keaton and Mila Kunis. Watch it on the big screen and give independent films a chance to shine at the box office for a change.
