Author and rehabilitator Terry Masear wants to save every injured hummingbird in Los Angeles. Through his volunteer hummingbird rescue, Terry takes on the most fragile patients, but the path to survival is filled with uncertainty and drama. Over the course of Sally Aitken’s intimate and moving documentary, we become invested in Terry’s hummingbird patients – including Cactus, Jimmy, Wasabi, Raisin and Mikhail – celebrating their small victories and lamenting their small tragedies. .
