Education is always a hot topic to talk about in China, and Successor is produced to satirize those parents who crazily want their children to be elite. The purpose of the film wasn’t bad, but the plot merely seems to be a mix of good films such as The Truman Show and Hindi Medium.
What’s more, the act and the scene aren’t outstanding. There’s definitely some fun plot going on, but that’s not special at all.
The director doesn’t explore the deep emotion of Ma Jiye when he knows the truth that he was cheated by his parents for 18 years, and thus makes it hard for the audience to get what the director wants to express.

In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. In their search for answers, the children uncover a series of extraordinary mysteries. Steve Perry, former lead singer of Journey, said the Stranger Things season 4 remix of Journey’s 80s hit Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) was done pretty much the way he originally wanted to do it in the 80s, but lacked the technology . Over several episodes, people are seen 'interrupting' someone is talking on a two-way radio or CB – that is, one person is talking/transmitting and the other person is transmitting to interrupt, and then the other person hears the interruption and stops transmitting. This has happened several times on children’s CB radios and on radios used by the police.
These radios – CB and police radios from the show’s era – don’t work that way. The opening titles and fonts of Stranger Things mimic the grain and look of the opening credits of the 1980 TV series. There were two dominant forces in the 1980s that permanently influenced my film tastes and also resulted in my undying love of fantasy, science fiction and horror stories: Steven Spielberg and Stephen King. I don’t think it’s an overstatement to say “The Two Steves”; arguably influenced and shaped the imaginations – the dreams AND nightmares – of an entire generation. A major factor in why I loved their movies and books was that many of them featured children around my age so prominently. King wrote 'Firestarter', 'It' and Spielberg either directed or produced (through his company Amblin) 'E.T.', 'The Goonies' and 'Gremlins'. These were stories where young protagonists encountered aliens and monsters, or had supernatural powers themselves—or just went on an adventure (to find a body or long-lost treasure) with adults who were mostly out of it.
Of course you do: because “Stranger Things”; it pays homage to all those stories on purpose – and does it very, very well. The show emulates themes and a certain style from those eighties treasures, and while it’s (for me) a very welcome callback to some favorite stories from my youth, it’s also very much its own. I’m not going to give away the plot here (I think you have a pretty good idea of what it’s about from what I’ve written above), but I’d like to mention that it’s beautifully shot, the effects and overall production The values are top-notch, and the period-inspired music is fantastic. But the biggest shout out has to go to the ensemble cast, especially the kids who play the protagonists: their charming performances are key to why the show works as well as it does. To sum it all up: #39;being an octogenarian like myself, this show is a must.
For everyone else, it might depend a little more on whether or not you’re a fan of the genre, but if you’re into supernatural stories, 'Stranger Things' is a delicacy. After his home is invaded by the tyrannical emperors who now rule Rome, Lucius is forced into the Colosseum and must look to his past to find the strength to restore Rome to its glory for his people. In the years since the first film’s release, there have been numerous attempts to write a sequel. Musician Nick Cave was brought in to record a version by Russell Crowe and Sir Ridley Scott. His version focused on the more mythical elements of ancient Rome and would have seen Maximus arrive in the afterlife to confront other souls who had not yet ascended further. He is eventually tasked by Jupiter and other Roman deities to return to Earth to find and kill Hephaestus, an ancient deity who betrayed them. From there, he is resurrected as a Christian and finds himself returning to Rome with the mission of stopping the spread of Christianity until he crosses paths with the new emperor Lucius. The film would end with Maximus cursed to live forever, with a montage of the soldier fighting through the Crusades, World War II, and the Vietnam War, eventually revealing a modern-day Maximus working at the Pentagon in Washington.
Featured in The 7PM Project: Episode 3 July 2024 (2024). I saw the premiere in Sydney. The plot is richer and more emotional than the first one. Everyone’s acting is great, Paul did a great job! Denzel has a great talent for comedy and contributed a lot of funny plots. Personally, I don’t think it’s gory at all. There are a lot of fight scenes and it’s very cool.
The ending is very emotional and has many touching parts. Some edited dialogue is changed too often. Personally, I don’t like this editing method. I prefer to use a slightly longer shot to focus on one person (preferably the main character) so that I can capture the slight changes in the person’s face during the dialogue. 2. The seawater in front is too real to look fake. The seawater is too blue and perfect, which often creates the opposite effect 3.
As for historical rationality, I don’t think the people of the time had a clear understanding of the concept and appearance of the god of death. S. This is an adapted storyline. No need to worry about the originality of the storyline. So you don’t have to worry about whether the second one is a remake of the first one. People say they want to see a sequel, but they don’t want the storyline to be too tied to the previous one. This statement itself is controversial.
If we are to see a completely different story, then we should list it as an original storyline. You can judge the adaptation of the script, but if you are not satisfied with its originality, maybe you should rewrite the history book. It doesn’t have much to do with the larger MCU, but I don’t think anyone would believe it. It’s goofy, clumsy, eccentric, but still with an edge that keeps you on your toes. Kathryn Hahn excels here and really drives the bus, letting everyone else shine in their own way.
This is only after the first two episodes, but I really have no complaints. The choreography could be tighter for the action, that was my only comment. Whether Wanda makes it all the way back or not, I don’t think it matters!
